Retreats
Amrit Yoga Holistic Center is the perfect setting for individuals and groups seeking a spiritual retreat within the holy city of Varanasi. Located in a quiet neighborhood on the banks of the sacred Ganga River, the Ashram environment encourages contemplation, stillness, and healthy daily routines.
Our Ashram is open to people of all beliefs and backgrounds. It is a sacred place to connect with one’s inner Self and explore the transformative practices of Yoga.
What Makes Amrit Yoga Holistic Center Special
Here visitors can enjoy stunning vistas of the sunrise over the Ganges, attend daily yoga classes and meditation gatherings, participate in community service initiatives, and immerse themselves in a healthy and balanced lifestyle. We serve three delicious vegetarian meals a day.
Our campus includes a dedicated meditation hall and temple, multiple yoga spaces, a communal dining hall and kitchen, and a Treatment Center. Our facility can comfortably accommodate up to 25 participants in private, shared, and dormitory-style rooms. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom.
Behind the Ashram is the Anjali School which provides free primary education to economically disadvantaged children. Across the river is Amrit Sagar Holistic Farm, where visitors can walk the Healing Path, learn about sustainable agriculture, and support farm projects.
Cultural Immersion
In addition to seva opportunities at the Anjali School or Holistic Farm, visitors can take excursions to Varanasi’s holy temples and sacred sites, walk along the famous ghats, or see the city by motorboat. For those interested in taking classes in Sanskrit, Classical Music, Jyotish, Ayurveda, and more, local teachers can be arranged for instruction (subject to availability).
