An Ashram Retreat on the Ganges

Varanasi, also known as Kashi, or the city of Lord Shiva, is one of the oldest living cities on Earth. Situated on the bank of the sacred river Ganga, Varanasi has been a place of pilgrimage, learning and ritual for centuries.

Amrit Sagar Holistic Retreat is located in a peaceful oasis on the southern edge of the city, within the compound of the Aghor Foundation. The ashram is unique in that it fosters lineage-based yoga and meditation practice alongside social service projects, with the capacity to support group retreats and individual stays. Amrit Sagar welcomes visitors to Varanasi to experience the profound fusion of sadhana (spiritual practice) and seva (selfless service) within our nurturing ashram environment.
